LRMC wins big at 20th Philippine Quill, 59th Anvil Awards

LRT-1 private operator Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) is celebrating a double victory after receiving multiple awards at the 20th Philippine Quill Awards by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and the 59th Anvil Awards by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP). These recognitions highlight LRMC’s commitment to impactful communication campaigns that benefit LRT-1 passengers, the community, and the nation.

LRMC garnered top honors at the Philippine Quill Awards, receiving the coveted Top Award for Communication Management for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program with Binhi English Literacy Foundation titled ‘LRMC building a foundation learning and literacy thru Binhi Partnership,’ which fosters learning and literacy among scholars of LRMC at Marcela Marcelo Elementary School in Malibay, Pasay City.

The partnership with Binhi English Literacy Foundation garnered another Award of Merit under Community Relations category, as well as an Award of Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility.

LRMC further solidified its success with an Award of Excellence under Community Relations category for its #RideSafeOnLRT1 Vaccination Drive implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic in partnership with various local government units.

Anvil Awards Accolade

LRMC’s success continued at the Anvil Awards, where it bagged a Silver Award under the Public Relations Program in Automotive and Transportation category for its innovative LRT-1 QR Ticketing System, the first of its kind in the Philippine railway industry. This award underscores the importance of public relations as a tool in communicating technological advancements, as well as LRMC’s commitment to upgrading the commuter experience.
