LRMC enhances integrated mobility with new 24/7 paid parking facility at LRT-1 Dr. Santos Station

LRT-1 private operator Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) continues to champion seamless multi-modal transit with the opening of a new, secure 24/7 paid parking facility at LRT-1 Dr. Santos Station in Parañaque City.

Designed to support the ‘Park and Ride’ and ‘Road to Rail’ initiative of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the newly established parking area provides direct, convenient access to the LRT-1 train network, enabling commuters traveling from southern Metro Manila and neighboring provinces to leave their vehicles safely and bypass traffic jams.

The parking facility is operated by third-party partner GlobalParking Management, Inc. under an agreement with LRMC. Built to accommodate both four-wheel and two-wheel transport, the lot features a total capacity of 93 slots for four-wheel vehicles such as cars and SUVs, alongside 100 slots designated for motorcycles.

To ensure seamless operations and continuous peace of mind for motorists, the facility operates around the clock, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is equipped with comprehensive security features, including CCTV surveillance, an automated boom gate system, and on-site parking attendants. Motorists can settle payments in cash.

“Our goal at LRMC is to provide holistic mobility solutions that go beyond train operations. By providing a safe, accessible, and well-managed parking space at LRT-1 Dr. Santos Station, we are empowering commuters to easily transition from private vehicles to efficient rail transport,” LRMC President and CEO Enrico R. Benipayo said. “This facility bridges road and rail transportation, making daily commutes faster, safer, and more convenient for everyone.”

The facility offers parking rates for both short-term commuters and long-term parkers. For four-wheeled vehicles, parking is priced at PHP 40 for the first five hours, with succeeding hours charged at PHP 10 per hour. Motorcycles and e-bikes are charged a flat rate of PHP 30 for the first eight hours, followed by PHP 5 for each succeeding hour. An overnight parking rate of PHP 100 applies for vehicles parked between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Motorists are advised that a lost parking ticket fee of PHP 500, plus applicable parking fees, will be charged for unreturned or damaged tickets. Additionally, parking is free of charge for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and Senior Citizens, provided they present a valid PWD or Senior Citizen ID upon transaction.

The opening of the parking facility at Dr. Santos Station marks another significant milestone in LRMC’s ongoing commitment to enhancing commuter convenience and building an interconnected transit network.
